Next Up: OUT OF ORDER

Will Thunder-Sky, Inc. be showcasing other artists besides Raymond Thunder-Sky? Of course. Our mission is to spotlight unconventional artists in professional, unorthodox, new ways. Artists like David Jarred and Kevin White. Out of Order: David Jarred and Kevin White features the works of two artists who seem to be communicating to one another without actually knowing it. Kevin White’s paintings and drawings (the bottom photo), usually large-scale, have the mischief and disquieting vitality of cartoon machinery learning how to take over the universe one big bite at a time. David Jarred’s smaller-scale works (top ohoto), sometimes sculptural, sometimes two-dimensional, evoke memories that may not be in your head anymore, but have left an imprint like lines drawn by a finger on a steamy window. Seen together, the works of these two artists match one another’s oddnesses with innocence, authority and style. This exhibit opens FEBRUARY 26, 2010, reception 6 to 10 pm.
