Raymond and Antonio

I wrote an essay about Raymond Thunder-Sky’s and Antonio Adams’ friendship and the “cultural revolution” it gave birth to here in Cincinnati… Here’s a photo of Antonio last Sunday standing in front of the mural he designed and painted about Raymond (along with Bill Ross, Cedric Cox, and students from the Artworks program) on the side of the building Visionaries and Voices is in on Spring Grove Avenue here in Northside… The essay will be in Folk Art Messenger soon…

Out of Order Opening Night February 26 2010

We counted: close to 200 people showed up. We debuted Milan DelVecchio’s great animated film based on the works… A couple students from Miami University read poetry and stories based on the works in the show… Beautiful food by Kevin’s Mom and Angie Nolte… A great night…

Raymond’s Headstone

Here it is. We had a fundraiser to purchase a headstone for Raymond back in October, and we finally got around to taking a photo of it. It’s on his gravesite at Arlington Cemetary in Mt. Healthy. Raymond, Rest in Peace…

The “Out of Order” Opening Night February 26, 2010


A couple photos from opening night of “Out of Order: Paintings & Other Creations by David Jarred & Kevin White.” The joint was packed with people, poetry (one of the photos is of Miami University creative writing students reaidng some of their works), food, and the debut of Milan DelVecchio’s film based on the works. Thanks to everyone for coming and hanging out… Show closes April 12, 2010. Next up: “Remember Me as a Good Thing: Words & Images by Kendra-Bayer Foreman & Dale Jackson.” Opens April 30, 2010 with a reception 6 to 10 pm.
